EA schaltete für einige C&C Spiele die Multiplayerserver ab, sodass es die Community in die eigene Hand nahm und mit C&C:Online den Multiplayer am Leben erhält. Zuletzt gab es hier einige Probleme, doch GenTool kommt zur Rettung. Um den Multiplayermodus von Generals, Tiberium Wars und Alarmstufe Rot 3 weiterhin über C&C:Online nutzen zu können, müsst ihr euch einen Account auf http://www.cnc-online.net/ anlegen. Dort findet ihr auch eine Anleitung vor.
Nun ist die aktuelle Version des GenTool von XEZON erschienen. GenTool bietet erweiterte Spielsteuerungen und Optimierungen, um euer Online-Spielerlebnis zu maximieren. Zusätzlich enthält es drei Anti-Cheat-Lösungen für Generals und Zero Hour. Das Programm ist einfach zu installieren und ist voll funktionsfähig mit C&C Generals 1.8, C&C Generals Zero Hour 1.04, Generals Deluxe Edition, The First Decade und The Ultimate Collection.
