Steht doch eigentlich alles da:
Testing Your Internet Connection
Step 2
TRACE ROUTE:
Running a trace route can identify where the connection problems are occurring.
* The trace route program tests the connection from your computer to the target location you specify and every "hop" in between.
* Using this program you can determine at what location the data you are sending is running into a problem.
* Using the information you gain from running the program you can contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and work with them on solving your Internet connection issues.
Steps to run the Trace Route command:
For Windows:
1. Click Start and then Run
2. Type command and press Enter
3. In the command window, type tracert realm.battle.net > C:\tracert.txt and press the Enter key. Note that realm should be replaced by the site you a having problems reaching (ASIA, USWEST, USEAST, EUROPE) example: tracert USWEST.battle.net > C:\tracert.txt. A file will be created on your C: drive called tracert.txt that contains your trace route information.
4. Type exit and press the Enter key to close the command window.
For Mac OS X:
1. Go to the /Applications/Utilities folder and start the Terminal application.
2. Type traceroute realm.battle.net > ~/Desktop/tracert.txt and press the Return key. Note that realm should be replaced by the site you a having problems reaching (ASIA, USWEST, USEAST, EUROPE) example: traceroute USWEST.battle.net ~/Desktop/tracert.txt. A file will be created on your Desktop called tracert.txt that contains your trace route information.
3. Quit the Terminal application.
I ran Trace Route, now what do I do?
* Windows users should go to My Computer, C:\ drive, and open the tracert.txt file. If you see any of the following items (listed below) in your trace route for any of the entries, you may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and provide them your trace route information. Once the information has been submitted, it may take several days for the problem to be identified and resolved. Remember that Blizzard Entertainment can only ask your ISP to fix an issue; the best results come when you contact your ISP directly.
* Items that may indicate a problem with your Internet connection:
o Timed out's
o * symbols
o If the number value before the ms appears to jump around from low to high a lot or if the numbers stay at high values.
Special Note: Since our Battle.net servers are protected from unsolicited traffic and attacks, all the hops after you have reached our server may give you an error message such as 'Request Timed Out' or 'Destination Net Unreachable'. Our current server names begin with various mixes of numbers and letters, and end in the following addresses:
-ASIA: gblx.net (example: POS1-3-155M.cr2.SEL2.gblx.net)
-USWEST: attens.net (example: mdf2-bi8k-2-eth-1-1.rwc1.attens.net)
-USEAST: attens.net (example: mdf1-bi8k-1-eth-2-1.wdc1.attens.net)
-EUROPE: teliacarrier.com (example: 213-248-106-204.customer.teliacarrier.com)
All error messages you may receive after contacting our server can be safely ignored for troubleshooting purposes, and they do NOT indicate a problem with your internet connection.
