Hey guys,
We've done some extensive reviews of this situation and have concluded that DauBep is qualified for the next round. The allegations and replay analyzations are not 100% conclusive proof enough for us.
I would appreciate not having to delve in to deep details, but the evidence I have in hand shows conclusive proof he resides in Russia, and not the Ukraine.
I appreciate and respect those who brought this to our attention for review, we did the due diligence of researching extensively.
At the end of the day, if there isn't 100% conclusive proof, then at this stage in the playoffs, we cannot act rationally based on emotional allegations and perceived replay play styles. I respect that, I do, but as a judge acting on a fair set of rules, I have to be compliant with that and not judge based on unsubstantiated evidence.
Furthermore, we don't have stealth-cameras in every competitors home and at the end of the day there is a level of sportsmanship and trust in any online tourney you participate in. We know people have crazy technology to switch IP address, or let someone else play for them in another region and mask their IP, tactics such as these are not easy to defend, but in the end, I promise you, it won't win you a tournament.
Anyone who tries to inhibit a tournament in this manner, not only hurts our dev team personally, but lets the community down dramatically. And, if you produce some damage along the way, its only temporary.
So with that, please move on with me and have a great rest of Ladder Season 3 playoffs. I wish the best of luck to everyone.
