AGM said:The numbers we're looking at for infantry and tanks are 1 less than the suggestions you made in the closed alpha forum (tanks 12, infantry 10, apc 14, LRV 16, technical 18, rocket buggy 20 (yes faster!), light helos 20, Helix 16).
Anmerkung Derzeitige Geschwindigkeiten Inf 9, Tanks 9 (warlord) 10 (aegis) 11(black market), tech 16.7, sandstorm 15.8, chelix 13, helis 16
However, keep in mind that the reason why so many people are using fast scouts is because the counter system is still too soft and roles are not as clearly defined as they should be. Also note that when crushing is finally implemented, this insta-turn/insta-accelerate SC2-style movement of vehicles is going to have to change to something much closer to CNC, else infantry will be pointless to make.
Vehicles NEED vector change penalties so that juking with infantry is possible. Those vehicle vector change penalties will come in the form of acceleration, and slower turn rates. This will make the feel like they have mass, and also add more interesting micro to the game.

Yes, and the next patch I think will have these turn/accel rates in play. All light/medium vehicles will be turning at a rate of 210 degrees/second. For comparsion, Generals turn rates were 180 degrees/second. Acceleration however, is slower than in Generals, which had instant acceleration for many units.

@Verteilen Befehl X
Yes, most definitely. And we have to get rid of that strange movement delay after fire (we zeroed out the values in FrostEd, but there is still a delay, likely due to server lag. What we want players to be able to do with infantry is to do some basic stutter step micro by pressing X then S, X then S in a rhythm (and of course, juke with individual infantry as needed). This will allow basic infantry to have a skill-based counter to players who attempt to use their vehicles as melee weapons.
