[DotA2] Dota 2 Sammelthread

inline_double_fragments.jpg

In honor of those heroes who have valiantly fought the forces of Frostivus Eve to keep their King enthroned, we are extending Wraith-Night through the weekend and doubling the drop-rate for both Shining and Phantom Fragments.

If you happen to be just “this close” to collecting the fragments you need for completing a Wraith-Night Relic or Offering, you now have a chance to close the gap faster than ever.

While Wraith-Night ends on January 6, you will still have the ability to redeem your prized fragments for gifts through the end of the month. In addition, any time remaining on your Wraith King’s Favor will be converted into 80% Battle Point Booster time.

So give your thanks to the Wraith King for his double-edged generosity, and prepare to receive his puzzling gratitude as he rises and attempts to slay you for a few more nights.

Neuer (großer) Guide für Supports: Sephiroth's Advanced Guide to Supporting!
Auszug said:
Chapter 2: Which Heroes are supports?
A big part of winning any Dota game depends on the heros you pick and HOW you combo them up. There are a ton of heros you can pick from and something which is good in one game isint really good in another. However we can group up heros in Tiers from Good to Bad if you dis-regard my earlier statment for simplicitys sake because it will make it much easier to explain which heros are considered strong supports and which ones are somewhat weaker

Changes will be made for Starladder.

Just minutes after their win in D2L Season 4 at Las Vegas, Nevada, long time captain of LGD Ning 'xiao8' Zhang posted a status update on Weibo that may indicate on himself joining the impending Chinese shuffle. Initially, Zhang thanked his teammates for the win in D2L and followed it by "New start in 2014. 3 years at LGD, Forever Dream 5."

Editor's note: Chinese netizens usually refer LGD members as Dream 5 because they have been in the same team for a very long time.

In one of the many responses to the posting, a tweet by Yi Tian '820' Zou, LGD's temporary coach in Las Vegas, stated, "Good luck in your new team."

This information coincides with our source's information who told us Zhang will be a part of the upcoming dream team. Our source told us that Zhang will be the only person from LGD that be leaving his team for the dream team. The four remaining players will be players from Invictus Gaming and Tongfu who we will not disclose until we have further confirmation.

So far, LGD has not released any official statement regarding the matter but the information is getting more and more obvious with every good luck tweets from professional Chinese players and personalities. "The ending is also the starting," Yang 'KingJ' Zhou wisely tweeted.

The Chinese shuffle is estimated to begin right after Chinese New Year on the 31st of January.

Team Liquid Dota 2 Awards 2013
It’s that time of year again. We’re here with Team Liquid’s Dota 2 Awards for the year 2013, and it’s an understatement to say we are excited. The TL Awards are a fixture of the Starcraft Progaming scene, and our Dota 2 Progaming awards follow in their footsteps. We started with last year’s awards and today we’re proud to bring you our 2013 installment.

We do not take awarding any of these categories lightly, and the names you see alongside these titles today were only arrived at after much deliberation and much back and forth between our editorial staff. Unlike other annual awards lists, the TL Awards are decided internally by our writers and editors and are not based on community vote. We employ this process because we feel that popularity may not necessarily reflect the very best, especially in some categories. Thus, we are proud to stand by every single award given below. After watching a whole year of Dota, here is what we picked as the best of the best.

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank you, our readers, for making our Dota 2 coverage possible. Without you, we would not have the motivation or drive to write about this great game, and as we head into another year of competitive Dota, we are thankful that we have an audience as passionate and excited about this game as we are. It has been an honor writing for you, and we hope you enjoy our coverage in 2014.

Congratulations to the winners and runners-up! You made 2013 a great year, and for that, we salute you.
