It probably is a glitch in the game. You learn in the game that you can cancel spells if you cast them. If you cast a spell while auto attacking and cancel it quickly and attack again. You suffer no lag at all in your auto attacks. Thus you can keep spamming your auto attacks. Saves you your mp bar to or whatever it is called.

No I heard that game blows hard. Plus they auto correct the cancelling there believeing it was a glitch. My sister has it and the 2-player modes sucks hard to.
