Hey everyone,
Thank you for settling for the moment with regards to the Kane's Wrath patch, i'll keep you posted, and we are on track for next week.
That said, I had meant to do this yesterday but of course things were a little heated around here.
Now many of you ask, APOC, how come EA doesn't give you any official helpers? And I say, I have no clue, but over the past 4 years as Community Manager i've sweat so many calories working my tail off for the community that I have finally gotten some much needed resources and am starting to build an official army here at EALA simply called APOC's Army. APOC's Army currently consists of a mod and cheat team, and now I have two official EA employees assisting me in varying different roles, actually one is official, the other is interning with me this summer, lucky guy right? =)
I'd like to introduce you to two people who play a significant role here at EALA now in our C&C community efforts:
Interning with me this summer in the role of APOC's Community Manager Assistant is Jeff "EA_2POC" Suhr, formerly known as Nukewave. That's right, you're very own Nukewave has been here at EALA for over a month and is assisting with all kinds of crazy community tasks. His new name is EA_2POC =)
Also joining the army is another familiar face to modders out there, Justin "Mastermind" Moe. Justin is an extremel accredited modder from the C&C community who interned with us here at EALA last summer has now come back as a full time employee on our RTS team. Justin, known as Mastermind, will be dedicating a significant portion of his time to becoming the official C&C Mod Master. What does this mean? It means we have an official C&C Mod spokesperson who is going to help reshape our mod community and give it the proper support it needs from an internal source since I have always been spread thin in this area. This does not mean you will get a KW Mod SDK tomorrow, but it certainly means we're looking in to it, and also looking to redefine our mod support with better help, promotions, and knowledge. Mastermind will be leading that charge and you can primarily find him in the C&C mod section or send your mod questions to Mastermind@ea.com.
Here are two brief introductions, please give them a warm re-welcome. They are now working with me in an official capacity.
EA_2POC (formerly Nukewave)
Hey everyone! It’s nice to be here in LA working alongside your favorite community manager, APOC! I’ll be here as much as possible, delivering all your needs and demands to APOC, and laying the usual smack down on those of you who cross the line. Be on the look out online, as myself and a volunteer team are helping to coordinate with EA to ban cheaters and disconnectors on a weekly basis! Say goodbye to nukewave, cause 2POC’s in town!
EAMastermind
Justin “Mastermind” Moe has returned to the RTS team at EALA as a technical designer. Last summer he was responsible for documenting and testing the C&C 3 Mod SDK. Going forward, he’s your man for mod support questions. Look for him ingame and on the forums as EAMastermind. If you have a mod or map you think the development team and the community should know about, or you have a modding question, idea, or issue, send an e-mail to mastermind@ea.com.
My friends of the C&C community, the above is a sign of better things to come and a sign that the C&C community is going to continue to get increased support and exposure. We're going to have lots of fun, now back to that KW patch =)
