Today, Electronic Arts announced their takeover of Atlanta-based Super Computer International, and will integrate the company and its PlayLinc technology into EA’s Online Technology Group.

SCI is the creator of PlayLinc, an online game browsing and messaging platform launched last year by AOL and Verizon. It includes social networking tools like IM and VoIP, buddy tracking, player invitations, team management and more.

“SCI’s development expertise is uniquely suited to our online technology needs,” said Nanea Reeves, EA vice president and Online COO. “The team’s technical leadership and creative approach is a great fit, and we’re thrilled to have them join EA.”

Electronic Arts hat Super Computer International übernommen und wird deren PlayLinc Technologie in EA's Online Technology Group eingliedern.

PlayLinc ist eine online spiele und chat plattform die vergangenes Jahr von AOL und Verizon gestartet wurde.




Das könnte Gamespy für die EA online Spiele ersetzen, da Gamespy in der Vergangenheit ja schon einige Mängel und Probleme offenbart hat.
