TLO Streaming Marathon: Starcraft Without Borders

You want to spend all day watching Starcraft. You also want to make even a small contribution to society. This weekend, the two don't have to be mutually exclusive. On Sunday the 22nd of May 2011, starting from 10am, our very own Dario "TLO" Wünsch will stream his play for as long as possible with the goal of streaming a minimum of 24 hours. What's more, this marathon Starcraft 2 run will be in benefit of Doctors Without Borders, an awesome charity that provides independent, impartial assistance in many of the world's worst affected areas.

On a daily basis, they help people who are affected by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters and this weekend, you'll be able to contribute in a little way towards their efforts. "Helping an organisation like doctors without borders seemed fitting to me," says Dario. "They do incredible work and I want to see if we can have gaming benefit them in some way."

Starting on Sunday morning, Dario will stream throughout the day and aim to go on until 10am on Monday. During this time, he will ladder, play custom games and you'll have a chance to follow him on stream and maybe even join him in game. "My goal is to reach 24 hours as that will be a personal milestone for me as well," says TLO. "I'll keep going for as long as I can though, and I'd really value your support along the way."

So how is this going to work? TLO will have ads running on his stream, and all revenue made during this period will be donated directly to Doctors Without Borders. All you have to do is spread the word.

Tell your parents, friends and significant other. Tell the mailman. Canvas your dorms. IM everyone. Facebook and tweet away. Ask that girl/boy you've had your eye on for ages to come join you on Sunday to watch Starcraft and support Doctors Without Borders while you're at it.

Finally, stock up and food on drink and be here on Sunday as Dario downs energy bars and gets ready to dish out pwnage for a cause. No matter where you are in the world, this event will be live this weekend at a time that's good for you. Be sure you tune in!

Ick verstehs nicht, der macht Werbung auf den IEM fürn INTEL i7 Extrem (ca. 900€ CPU geht der dafür extra auf die Bühne im Auftrag für INTEL usw) und zockt mit soner Holzgrafik

Mit so einer Holzgrafik, wie Rove es nennt, spielen aber viele Pros. Müsst ihr mal auf tl.net bei der Streamliste euch mal nen paar Pros raussuchen.

Wat ick damit meine is: Die bekommen doch die Highend Sachen hinterher geworfen und zocken dann auf soner LOWEinstellung.
Ich könnte das nicht, ich kann mir nicht mal son stream angucken weils einfach kein Spaß macht da zu zugucken, was ich auch nicht tue... Wenn ich sowas sehe---> direkt wieder off!

Take TV kann ich mir auch nur angucken wenn ick 3 Meter vor meinen Monitor sitze

Jo ick weiß, habs auch schon öfter gesehen, Colud z.B. wenn er bei Take zockt und der eine von ROOT fallen mir spontan ein^^

Schatten kann man auch so komplett ausschalten in der variables.txt. Ich selbst habe vieles auch runtergedreht und Shader nur auf Medium (der Shader macht btw. den größten Unterschied aus. Low = Holzgrafik, ab Medium = modern (drüber merkt man auch kaum Verbesserungen). FF/... was mit Low im Shader kaum sichtbar ist kann man auch in den variables.txt pimpen.

Kurzum man kann die Grafik auch übersichtlich bekommen ohne direkt auf Holz spielen zu müssen. Wie bei vielen ist das aber eine Frage des Geschmacks. Ich selbst könnte aber net auf Low daddeln. Sieht ja auch aus wie vor 10 Jahren dann.

Ich komm da gar nicht rauf auf den stream. Es is zwar dieses Ladesymbol da, aber es tut sich nichts.

edit: so mit 240p gehts, aber die quali kann man dann ja echt vergessen

Bei dir liegts aber auch daran, dass deine Zeitmaschine auch nicht mehr hergibt
