TGL - The final matches

As i heared from an unsure source, the games will be scheduled at the weekend. (Aightball said that)
I hope its going to be saturday. Otherwise Darkzone is free win in 1on1 ^^ (kidding).

@ Gummibaer - Sry for my missunderstanding.^^

In my opinion, TGL, has a bad organisation, the grid is not refresht, if u want to see how it´s goning on. It´s also pritty hard to find any admin to solve problems.

pritty poor, in a school u would get the badest grades ever. I hope the ESL TW-Clanliga, will be better organized.

Thats no bad orga, the problem is we need more admin 2 do a good job. Its impossibel 2 give a 24/7 Support with 3 1/2 admins ^^ we only need more admins :) ^^. The next point is we make this league 4 all TW Clans not 4 us. Thats is our small part 4 the com. TGL gives us a chance 2 realize a clan league in TW. 4 us it was a great chance 2 start this there because look whats games are only played there and how big the International background is.

I say it only 4 me, i do all i can 2 support the CnC Com. I have a job and this job cost me much time ^^ and the rest my freetime. 60 - 80% from my freetime i make my second and third jobs as a mod or admin somewhere here in cnc com. And then i must read something like that ^^

Dont talk do something. look at Xeon or someone they do u only talk. Every time all com projects need help. It gives more work as we all can do. So dont talk shit. Use ur brain and give a active part. spend us ur time before u used 4 ur handjobs or so .... *g

^^ funny post.
How about betting when the match up is released? Could be funny to see the Uf member opinions.

yeah ure right Aightball, i could do something, but i have no time for it.

Yeah it is very honorable that u do a lot 4 the CnC Com, but think about it. its better to have 1 good organized league as 10 bad organized one with the same goal and leagues. And there are a lot of people, which do a lot in hundrets of projekt, maybe they should conzentrat on 1.

And the result of 10 unfinished Projekts, is a bad orga in all of them.

merci

Its not against u, but this is my Opinion, and nobody can dance on all wedding partys :P

tu ich mal wieder was für die allgemeine weiterentwicklung in sachen esport für die cnc 3 community :)

kuckt euch das an und lernt.

although i don't think it's necessary or even desired having a english topic on a german board i'll obey the rules of this thread and write in english

The question is what your goals are for this league, you can either have a professional, international league or a funleague. If you want the former, than unfortunally your approach isn't the right one, if you want the latter your activity won't go up (you won't attract international clans).

Talking about a professional (in terms of serious, not in terms of big prize money) league, those points do apply, in my opinion:
As an admin, you have to generate an enviroment where the participating clans feel comfortable and guided. If there's a problem the admin should be able to solve it fast and in a way both clans can accept the decision. For example you should allow the clans to set up a date of their own, there should be a proposed time for the games - if no clan reacts, an admin should contact the clanleaders and doublecheck what is going on (at least as long as the league is not well established - if it is you can hand out penaltiy points). In addition, if the teams managed to set up a date and one team doesn't show up for 20min it's defloss time.
Also you have to sell the illusion that you as an admin are allways on top of the situation and don't make mistakes. Some years ago we had the famous line: "admin = god", which kinda describes it pretty good. If you hand out a hard decision the team which got hit by it shouldn't feel like the decision was biased/ mistreated. Basecially you need respect and this is achieved by constantly makeing the right decisions, good pr work and giving the players the feeling that you are allways there, when needed.

Now if you tell your users that you don't have enough manpower to guarantee that enviroment, that you are doing your best and that they should do better or do it thereselves, then everything collapses. It might be true, that you are doing it for them, but that's not what they want to hear. In the end you don't have prizes to get those clans playing, neither are international clans going to play in a funleague where they have to set up dates and arrange themselves with other (perhaps non english speaking) clans, unless they know they will be taken care of and will have fun playing.

many thanks for your feedback, Mooff

"if no clan reacts, an admin should contact the clanleaders and doublecheck what is going on (at least as long as the league is not well established"
I think we did this, we wrote to the managers of the teams which didn’t schedule. We wroted in the match comments and even in icq, but this wasn’t successful always

many teams, I think, would say that the support is good and fast (off course not all teams)

can you give a concrete example for your team, Mooff, when the support wasn’t perfect?

to solve the problems with scheduling we wrote emails and personal messages to the team managers to know what the teams are thinking about one suggestion, which we have( I presented this suggestion in the united forum, too)
but in fact many clans didnt react (thanks to the clans which answered)

you wrote indirectly that a clan league, which isn’t established, have to make compromises (should not hand out penalty points)
But because of this we didn’t want to give def wins… our goal was that the teams played the matches and had fun.

But I said days ago that we have learned much and we will do a few things differently in future (after the cup).

Well, the originally reason why I wrote here again was to announce that Oktron will play against Time 2 Die in the lobby "Tournaments 1" on Saturday at five o’clock pm.

Oktron or Time 2 Die, which clan is the most skilled one in europe?

On Saturday, the 10 of November the two final clans will meet each other in the final decisive match.
The final games will be commentated by Wilko, online known as GerWar 115.
We will use the Battlecast System, but the Shoutcast will only be in german language, that’s because of the wishes from the teams and from the commentator and we expect primary german observers.
The broadcast will be with a tape delay of 10 minutes and the link to the Battlecast will be posted in this thread.
