o Reduced attack range by 20% (this means the unit must get closer before it begins its charge)

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES:

Fixed issue preventing the AI from firing their superweapons
Enter now always opens the chat box in team mode (except when there are no allies); shift enter always enters it in all chat mode
Made the notification for generating default passability more clear about replacing any existing passability
Added hints to the debrief screens (Not yet translated)
AI Fix to harvesters not returning to harvesting resources after dodging a superweapon.
Map Editor: Integrating Map Editor textures fix when opening the map properties dialog
Fixed issue with joined player's star count not going away if they leave the lobby after already playing a previous coop game
Fix for teams not showing up properly in non-random case on loading screen
Fixed a series of German translations that were incorrect in the first release

Let's play some LAN games!

Well, it required a bit more effort than we originally planned, but today we're very happy to release LAN support for 8-Bit Armies! It's beta, but our internal testing shows that it's stable and working with just a couple minor issues we didn't want you to wait on. Please give it a try and let us know if you encounter any errors.

We're also making a change to our Featured Community Maps. Some of you didn't want to auto-subscribe to 3 new maps each week - and we agreed. Therefore, we've modified our back-end so that auto-subscribing is no longer necessary. Again, let us know if you spot anything out of the ordinary.

Alles viel zu spät. Sie hatten ihre chance. Ich habe ihnen meiner Meinung soga sehr viel Zeit gegeben. Mich haben die als Spieler schon seit Wochen verloren.

Wenn man das so liest könnt man meinen die hätten dir weh getan ^^ Ich würds cool finden mit dir und Steffen paar runden zu spielen wenn Hordes den MP etwas belebt. Ihr beide werdet auch schon vermisst, wurde erst gerade gestern im Discord gefragt wo ihr zwei steckt.
 
Ehrlich gesagt hat man mir mit dem Spiel weh getan... Ich habe dem Spiel soo viele Chancen gegeben... Werde aber natürlich dennoch weiterhin das Spiel im Auge behalten. Sollte MP wirklich was gehen, werde ich wieder einsteigen. Bis dahin schau ich mir das alles aus der Ferne an.

Balance changes, new languages and cross-play with 8-Bit Hordes!

It's been a crazy week getting 8-Bit Armies updated at the same time as finishing 8-Bit Hordes. This latest update to 8-Bit Armies includes the ability to cross-play with 8-Bit Hordes players which should make it easier to find online matches. There are also a number of balance changes to address feedback on the campaign and multiplayer, and also to level the playing field against the new Hordes factions, the Lightbringers and Deathsworn.

We are also happy to announce that the game now supports French, Russian,Brazilian-Portuguese and Simplified Chinese languages! Just like when we added German, if you see an issue with an incorrectly localized word or some UI that doesn't look right in a particular language then please let us know.

8-Bit Armies Game Update #24! 09/09/16 - 15:15 PST
Wow! Has a whole week passed since our last update? Time flies when you're having fun - and we have had a lot of fun getting this patch together for you.

With this update, we wanted to show some love for all our Russian, German, French, Portuguese and Chinese friends with a host of localization updates. Plus, we've just added support for Hungarian and Polish!

There are also a variety of other improvements and fixes we've made - check out the list below to learn more.

8-Bit Armies & 8-Bit Hordes translated to Polish & Hungarian. This translation should be considered BETA for now. A final version will be posted next week after we receive feedback.
Subtitles have been created for Russian, German, French, Portuguese, and Chinese languages. (Hungarian & Polish will be completed next week). To turn on subtitles, visit the OPTIONS - TEXT menu.
New font-remapping functionality dropped in behind the scenes for extra lengthy foreign languages so they are less likely to extend beyond the available UI.
Miscellaneous UI changes have been made to support longer translated text by making various text boxes longer.
Steam Achievements for 8-Bit Armies now support Russian, Polish, French, Portuguese (Brazil), and Hungarian.
Earned stars in Co-Op mode were sometimes not displayed correctly and this should be fixed now.
All maps have been audited for pathfinding issues and fixed if and where necessary.
The Mod Text File (STUB_Master_Text_Mod_Unicode.csv) for editing the in-game text was updated to include the latest additions to the game. Subtitle support will be added next week.
Fixed an issue where hosting and then canceling a LAN match would prevent players from loading a campaign map afterward.
Expanded tooltips have been added to all game manual tech tree objects.

• Adjustments made to the AI that should reduce instances of stockpiled harvesters.

• Fixed issues with territory ownership when the AI and Human players both lose to pirates in a three-sided battle.

• The AI now has specific limits to how many units it will build in a territory.

• Structures that are under construction at the multiverse level when combat begins will no longer appear in tactical battles.

• You can now quit Multiverse mode without saving.

BALANCE

Treant (Lightbringers, Hordes)
• The main weapon has been changed from a position target (artillery-like) to a direct-fire weapon. This means it is no longer possible to dodge the shots.
• Weapon cooldown reduced to 2.2 seconds (was 3.2).
• Base damage and AoE damage have been split out. The target will now take 20 damage (was 22), Enemies in the AoE radius will take 10 (was 22).
• AoE radius reduced to 50 (was 60)
• Weapon damage type changed to Piercing (was Heavy)

Xenodog (Cranioids, Invaders)
• Build cost increased to 80 (was 70).
• Build time increased to 8 seconds (was 5)
• Duration of Acid Pool reduced to 5 seconds (was 6)

Stink Bug (Cranioids, Invaders)
• Build cost increased to 180 (was 150)

Hi all!

Hope you're enjoying our new Observer and Replay modes! We are working on a few other improvements for later on this week based on feedback we've received here in the forums.

Our release of the free version of 8-Bit Arena has been hard to find for some of you, so we're planning to release it as a free, separate game (not listed as a demo) so everyone that wants it can do so. Free players will still be able to compete in the large, general pool of players - there will just be more of them once we get it into everyone's hands. If everything goes well, this will happen in just a few days, in time for this weekend.

Today's update is a small maintenance patch with a few balance tweaks.

River Town Map - Adjusted width of tree props around start area #2 to make structure hopping off platform more even.

Treant - The damage type for Treant was incorrectly set to Heavy instead of Piercing like was reported in a previous patch. This has been corrected.

Rogue - Build cost increased to 140 (was 120)
Wraith - Build cost reduced to 160 (was 220)
FIDO - Build cost reduced to 180 (was 220)

Der Letzte ist etwas deftiger! Da ist Petro voll auf unsere wünsche eingegangen.
Das die Sammler nicht mehr crushen können hat seine richtigkeit wen man mit Invaders und Hords vergleicht.

Die änderugnen am drachen sind ein guter anfang! Deathsworn hatte echt kaum AA.

Harvester:
The harvesters no longer crush. All other crushing units remain unchanged.

Build cost increased to 230 (was 200)


GUARDIANS:

Starting Units:
Starting units changed to 2 Grenade Infantry and 1 Engineer (was 3 Grenade Infantry)

Light Drone:
The target and AoE damage has been split out. The target will now take full damage while all other targets in the AoE will take half. The base damage has not changed.


DEATHSWORN:

Dragon:
The dragon has been reworked to split out ground and air attacks. Ground attacks will use the flame breath as normal. For air attacks, the Dragon will now spit a fireball which does a flat amount of damage and applies a burning damage-over-time effect. The DoT does not stack.


LIGHTBRINGERS:

Treant:
Base damage reduced to 16 for target (was 20) and 8 for AoE (was 10).

Ballista:
Move speed increased to 250 (was 200)


CRANIOIDS:

Wir hatten gestern bestimmt zwei ein halb Stunden lang mit Petro ne Diskussion bezüglich der Balance von gewissen Maps im Quickmatch pool.
Da es für die Invaders Fraktionen zum teil recht schwer war schnell ne stabile Economy aufzubauen.
Momentan sieht es so aus das Shipyards etwas umgebaut wurde was Öl punkte angeht.
Und was mich persönlich freut, River Town bekommt voraussichtlich pro Seite 2 zusätzliche Resource nodes! was ne komplett neue dynamik in die Map bringt.

Mich beeindruckt dabei voll dass für ein scheinbar tot geglaubtes Spiel verhältnismäßig mega viel Support kommt. Es setzt klar das Statement dass 8-Bit wichtig für PG ist!
 
Jo ich denke auch das es ein Motivationsprojekt für die Leute dort ist. Kann mir jetz nich vorstellen das die komplette Firma seit nem Jahr nur an 8 Bit schraubt ^^
 
Ich hab mir gestern die freeversion von Arena gezogen. Das Spiel ist am Anfang eigentlich ganz witzig, man bekommt nur durch das schlecht gemacht Ground Terain relativ schnell Augenkrebs.
Schneemaps sind dafür relativ angenehm anzuschauen. Die Ground Units bei einigen Fraktionen sind auf den ersten Blick relativ schwer voneinander zu unterscheiden und das Damage/Armor Prinzip ist umständlicher gestaltet worden als es hätte sein müssen.

Ansonsten ist das Spiel ein netter Zeitvertreib für zwischendurch.

P.S.: Vergesst 8bit Armies das Spiel ist trash.
