Chris "Delphi" Rubyor, old-school C&C Westwood employee and one of the fine fellows who showed me around Las Vegas and San José just after I started working here at PCNC, has resigned from EA, leaving his post as a game designer for Red Alert 3. In what is becoming an increasingly unsurprising twist, he'll be joining his former Westwood Studios comrades at Petroglyph Games.

Hey guys,

Lots of stuff happening these days so I hope I don't catch ya off guard.

Well, I just wanted to let you know that I have resigned from my position as a Game Designer (Red Alert 3) at EALA. It was a tough decision, but one that had to be made.

I enjoyed my two years spent at the company. It gave me the opportunity to work with some great people and make some fun games (Zero Hour and Lord of the Rings: BFME). Sadly, I leave behind more than 10 years of RTS history which includes Westwood Studios and the C&C community. I remain confident that EA will continue to make unique and exciting games within the Command & Conquer universe.

What's in store for the future? I'll be heading back to Las Vegas to join the ranks of some extremely talented game developers and ex-westwoodian friends at Petroglyph. They have some amazing stuff planned and I can't wait to be a part of it.

Das nimmt ja echt bedenkliche Formen an...Man könnte fast meinen, die Entwickler könnten die Situation nicht mehr ertragen und würden daher lieber sogar bei einem neuen kleineren Entwicklerteam anheuern als bei EA zu bleiben.
Vielleicht können wir ja in Petroglyph die Auferstehung Westwoods beobachten...mal sehen, wie sich die Zeit im Sinne Petroglyphs entwickelt.

LOL Mark verlässt EA Gott sei dank sage ich dazu! er hat CNC echt runtergezogen mit Ra2 hat er angefangen comic grafik und nach den jahren sieht man ja das ergebniss.....

Ich find das gut so, es gab mal bei Heise einen Bericht zu den Arbeitsbedingungen der EA Games Spieleentwickler, das war die totale Hölle. Sie standen immer unter Zeitdruck, womöglich gibt es deswegen diese vielen Bugs, weil sie die Spiele im Nachhinein nich mehr genug testen konnten...

Wenn EA nur so anständig wäre die CNC Rechte dann auch an Petroglyph zu verkaufen ... das wäre toll ... ucg weiß Traumdenken, Ea sollte man niederbomben -_-
