Hey zusammen,
könntet ihr mit bitte diesen kurzen Absatz übersetzen?
This study sought to advance the adolescent research
literature in three ways. First, consistent with a
more encompassing multivariate integrated model, a
broad range of variables representing the three conceptual
positions (i.e., biogenetic–dispositional, socialization,
affect regulation) described previously were
included in the analyses. These consisted of temperament
characteristics (e.g., activity level, behavioral
flexibility), socialization influences (e.g., parent, sib,
and peer variables), and features of the affect regulation
model of alcohol use (e.g., stressful life events,
coping motives for drinking). Second, these multiple
influences were analyzed simultaneously via structural
equation models to evaluate their combined influences.
With a few exceptions (e.g., Chassin et al.,
1993), most studies have included variables from only
one or two of these conceptualizations. This may have
the inadvertent effect of inflating the effects of some
variables due to the exclusion of other key variables,
and may limit the ability to more fully explicate the direct
and indirect effects of variables functioning in a
more holistic, integrated fashion. Third, the structural
equation models were specified so as to facilitate the
predictive efficacy of risk factors on alcohol problems
and on other illicit drug use (e.g., marijuana, cocaine)
while controlling for level of alcohol use; hence, a
broad range of risk factors was evaluated with regard
to direct and indirect effects on level of alcohol use, alcohol
problems, and illicit drug use.
Besonders der 3. Punkt ganz zum Schluss ist mir nicht ganz klar.
Vielen Dank.
