Als das neue offizielle Communityforum mit VBulletin an den Start ging gingen die großen Vorbereitungen für die Command and Conquer Alpha los, doch nun gibt es die Kehrtwende!
Man hat bei Victory Games feststellen müssen, dass VBulletin 5 als Basis für das offizielle Community Forum scheinbar ungeeignet war. Es gab zahlreiche Probleme vor allem hinsichtlich der integration der Origin Useraccounts und zahlreicher weiterer Fehler, derer man aufgrund der VBulletin Infrastruktur nie wirklich Herr werden konnte. Nun vollzieht man in Los Angeles die Kehrtwende und hat das offizielle Forum mit der IP.Board Software komplett auf neue Standbeine gestellt in der Hoffnung den Problemen nun Einhalt gebieten zu können.
Fact am Rande: Wir nutzen für das United-Forum im Übrigen die Software Vbulletin in der stabileren Version 4.2.
We finally were able to replace our vBulletin 5 Forums with IP.Board. This will hopefully result in a much better experience for all of us.
