Als Pendant zum GSL Thread, hier der OSL Thread.
Hier geht es um die OSL!
OnGameNet Star League
Gestern wurde die Round Of 16 ausgelost und nach der WCS Süd-Korea treffen hier wieder Kespa Spieler auf GSL Spieler:
Nebenbei muss man erwähnen:
Es ist derzeit keine leichte Situation für die GSL Spieler, weshalb sie auch so nervös sind, wenn sie gegen Kespa-Spieler antreten. Hier zwei Texte, die das ganz gut erklären:
Kespa-Spieler lernen schnell:
I don't get why people are surprised by the gap closing? These guys were the best at SC1 and although the game is different, raw speed and reaction time definitely transfers.
Combine that with the fact that they get to study and learn from pros that have already laid the ground work for how to play the game, of course they'll catch up quick.
If the Kespa guys had no footage to study from and had to learn from square 1 they'd be a lot further back than they are, but since they joined late that is not the case.
Six months of practice at this point in time is better than having all of 2010 and 2011 to practice. Learning how to play on the original ladder maps and with original balance really didn't help players a lot for how the game is now.
tldr; Of course they learned fast.
Warum die Fans eher auf die Kespa Spieler stehen:
A lot of players seem to look down on gsl players though, saying stuff like they were 2nd tier bw pros and went to sc2 because they weren't good enough for bw. and in the wcs posts, when a kespa player loses, they say its ok because they haven't really been playing that long, and when a gsl player loses, they say how can a progamer whose been playing a game for 2+ years lose to a pro whose been playing seriously for about 6 months. so i think this is a really big reason why gsl players are feeling so pressured to win vs kespa players. example would be in liquid hero's winner interview vs soulkey.____________________Was der LquidHero dazu zu sagen hat:
You made it to the third round of the losers' bracket rather difficultly. How do you feel?
Personally, as I play my matches I feel like my game is just not working out for me. I mean I won sure, but I don't feel very good about it. When you go up against KeSPA players, there's this huge burden that you never noticed was there before. That's why I think all the other GSL players lost, and also why I think I played so badly today. Nevertheless, I am very happy I stopped the KeSPA streak today.
Why do you think GSL players fell to the KeSPA players 11 times?
Truth be told, we never anticipated that they would catch up this quickly. KeSPA players have a lot of practice experiences and grab the basics really well so I think that's why they are catching up so quickly. There's also the fact that KeSPA players are really good at what they do and the fact that GSL players feel a heavy burden when playing against them. In our case, we know that the possibility of losing to them is very likely, while on the other side, the fans think there's no way we could ever lose to them yet, so the pressure from that is really huge. I would like to take this moment to request that the fans start thinking like pro gamers and stop considering us to be this dominant force that should never lose.
Da geht es uns ja richtig gut - freuen wir uns auf gute emotionale Spiele
