Heute stellen wir euch das vorletzte Interview vor. Diesmal ist es -OpTiK^, der sich den Fragen von LF[Media] stellen durfte. Die erste Runde bekam er einen Defwin gegen -^Harkon-. Heute verlor er in der zweiten Runde mit 0:2 gegen MrYuRi.

What are your expectations for yourself in regards to this tournament?
My main target is beating Khaoz; I hope I am good enough for it. I am expecting to win against Harkon, and MrYuri after that. To win a prize as rank 3 or 4 would be a dream for me. I expect to lose against Dackel or Khaoz, but everyone is practicing hard so you can’t really talk about 100% wins. It could be that I lose against Harkon in the first round.
So you will never let your guard down and play your best, even vs. players who you don’t expect to have much trouble with?
Yep. I heard from some players that they will be training 5-8 hours a day, so you can expect some surprising players in this tournament. Even if I would play against someone I have never lost to, I would still play my best. I don’t underestimate my opponents.
Which players in the tourney do you think might give us a surprise?
Darkzone could be surprising, but he doesn’t practice much. My second and third picks would be Apothekenbier and Excal. Apothekenbier doesn’t play much, but if he trains hard for a couple of days, he gets incredibly strong. I played against Excal recently, too, and in my opinion he has good chances to surprise some people…
Do you think a German will win the tourney?
I hope so. There are 17 Germans in the tourney, so we have to win. The favorites are Khaoz Dackel, and Khufu, so two of the three biggest favorites are German. Why shouldn’t one of them win?
That’s true. It would probably be an upset if a German did not win. So, you performed pretty well in all of the ladder qualifiers. Do you see yourself as a favorite?
I saw myself as a secret favorite, but when I saw my bracket I lost my confidence. I am pretty jealous of players in group D. I am just hoping for a miracle, but I don’t expect to win.
Which bracket is the hardest, in your opinion? And who do you expect to win it?
Group C is the hardest, definitely. C has only experienced players like Khufu, Zockergod, Xeon, Scorpspammer, and Apothokenbier. This group is sick. I am expecting Khufu to win, but I hope that Apothekenbier can take a surprise win.
What will you do with the money if you win?
I’ll spend it on a driver’s license. In Germany, these are very expensive. The rest I would save, or waste it with friends and my brothers.
Drivers licenses cost a lost of money? No wonder all the Germans play C&C3; they can’t afford to leave the house.
Nah, almost everyone in the tourney has a driver’s license; I am one of the few exceptions. But a driver’s license is indeed expensive. It costs about 1300 euros.
Wow, that’s a lot. You better practice up and win the tourney! Last question; which race do you think the eventual winner of the tourney will play?
No Scrin player will win this tournament. I played Nod in 1.08 and that’s how I got good (I think) and 3 WF Pred Spam or Nod’s tier 3 will win. So GDI or Nod. We’ll see.
