"Rounds per Saturday may change based on tournament participants"

Matches: All rounds will be played based on the bracket layout. Each participant will have 2 chances to stay in the tournament. First loss puts you in the losing bracket 2nd loss will remove you from the tournament. Each round will consist of 1 match on the specified map.

Final Round: The Finals will be based on a grueling best of 3 which will be observed & commentated by an Sledgehammer70.

All replays must be posted in the Tournaments section, details on this will be given in the weekly match info.

Maps:

Maps will be announced in your match info E-mails

Your Tournament Rounds:

For those of you who may be confused by the word "round", 'rounds' occur once a week and on some weeks possibly 2 rounds. This tournament will be a double elimination tournament, which means that you can lose a game and still win the tournament. If you lose the first round you will be moved to the losing bracket once there you have a 2nd chance to rise up to play in the final round. In other words, you have a 2nd chance. For those of you who still don't get it, if you lose 2 rounds your out of the tournament. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

Playing Your Tournament Match:

Before we go any further, it's important that you know exactly how the BTGN brackets work. Firstly, for those of you who played in our BFME1 & BFME2 tournaments, the color system is gone. There is no longer a "grey player" or "dark grey player". With that aside, the brackets look very nice and it's obvious who you are playing, so when we say "Player on Top" we mean the name of the player who happens to have been put on top in the MATCH... not the brackets. The brackets, again, are organized into many, many, pairs. If you are on the top of your match, you are known as the "Top Player". If you're on the bottom you're known as the "Bottom Player". If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them herehttp://www.bttournaments.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=266

In Case of Lag or Drops:

If a player lags or drops in a match within the first two minutes, the match should be restarted. Players MUST use the same race and map & start point from the game they just lagged/dropped from. After this time, if a player lags or drops, that player will be given a loss. The only exception to this rule is if both players agree to re-play the game. This is good sportsmanship. Should there be any disputes, replays must be posted. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here just always remember to save your replays.

If You Have a "Bye" Match

Congrats! A "Bye" match is a free pass to the next round of the tournament. In the best case scenario we won't have to have any 'bye' matches at all. If we DO need to have them, however, they'll all be in the first round. Don't worry... no one will get any further than the second round with a 'bye'. If you are a 'bye' player you'll still have to report your match so the admins know to move you forward in the brackets. Simply report your win in the chat lobby to tournament admin Sledge70 or Tornado and they will post your win and move you forward in the tournament. Failure to report your win will equal a disqualification. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

If You Are The TOP Player

Congrats, you get to host the match that round. It's just like hosting any other match you've ever played, but there are a few extra things to take into account. First, you are required to make the game and join "Lobby 7” Chatroom of CnC3 Online. Failure to do so will result in disqualification. Second, the name of match MUST be something along the lines of the names of the participants: "example Rnd1_brian177.vs.Sledge". This means that this match is for the first round, brian177 is hosting, and Sledge is supposed to join. If you name your games like this lots of problems will be avoided. Third, you must use the password provided in the email you received prior to game day. Tardiness can be seen below in the "Tournament Rules" section. Don't forget to report your win in the chat lobby, and tournament admin Sledge70 or Tornado will post your win or loss and move you forward in the tournament. Failure to report your win will equal a disqualification. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

If You Are The BOTTOM Player

Congrats, all you have to do is join "Lobby 7” chatroom and find the host of the game and than find the game and enter with your password, chose your faction, and "X"-In. Don't forget to report your win or loss in the chat lobby so tournament admin Sledge70 or Tornado can post your win or loss and move you forward or out of the tournament. Failure to report your win will equal a disqualification. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

Need Help On Game Day?

BTGN Admin's, will be in "Lobby 7" during all matches on game days to answer questions. Also, only believe answers that come from a BTGN Admin. If it's not a BTGN Admin giving you the answer to your question chances are it's the wrong answer. We will also be located in BTGN's official Team Speak Server "Info can be found here" If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them herehttp://www.bttournaments.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=266

Game Times and Time Regulations!

Every week you will receive a email from cnc3@cnctournaments.com letting you know what time you are playing, the map you are playing on, and any other info needed for that week's round to go smoothly. You MUST play at the time specified and you MUST play on the map specified. If you are unable to make it into the game at the time you were given, and wish to reschedule, you must FIRST clear it with me, Sledgehammer70, and only then are you allowed to start negotiating with your opponent on a new time. Check the forums regularly for updates to maps, rules... I also post the game info on the BTGN forums at the same time I email it, so if you see the info on the forums, but didn't get anything in your email, you should contact me ASAP with your email address so that I can sort it out. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

Note: If you do need to reschedule, and it happens that your opponent does not want to show up, or is unable to reschedule, the opponent is allowed to continue, and you are not. In the end it comes down to integrity and sportsmanship.

Tournament Rules

1.) If you cheat, you're disqualified from all Big Time Gaming Network Tournaments, in all games, forever (including this one). How do I define "cheat"?... If you have to ask, it's cheating. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

2.) Lag and Desyncs... they happen to us all. If the game goes Out of Sync both players should completely restart their computers (seems over the top, but it's the best thing you can do), and promptly start a new match -- THIS RULE STANDS REGARDLESS OF HOW THE GAME WAS GOING. That's right... you could be down to his last building and get an Out of Sync, and if he demands a rematch due to Out of Sync you must oblige. Lag is another matter. If both players agree that the lag is too bad for the game to be played, restart the game and begin the match again. Restarting due to lag is solely up to you guys... so don't complain to me that "he only won because of lag". If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them herehttp://www.bttournaments.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=266

3.) Submitting false win reports is prohibited for obvious reasons. Anyone caught doing this will face the consequences seen in Rule 1. In the event that you accidentally report the wrong outcome email me immediately or contact an admin in the CnC3 Lobby 7 to avoid confusion and consequences. I understand that accidents happen. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

4.) Players are REQUIRED to submit a match report to the BTGN admins on game day after the round has been played, they must also post a replay at the link given in the match info e-mail. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

5.) Any major issues will be resolved by me or one of the other BTGN Admins. These decisions are final! To argue with an Admin is a bad thing, so don't do it. I urge that you all remember that you can discuss the issue with us without an argument ensuing. I suggest you use this method of communication. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

6.) At least ONE replay must be posted on the forums per round, and only one of the players must post it. I suggest each player saves the replay just incase one of you forgets to post it. If you don't post a replay you will be contacted before the next round by me, so make sure you save a replay’s and post them in the replay forums under the CnC3 tournament section. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

7.) Connection Issues. Refresh your NAT, Send Delay. This should stop any problems with connections, but in the event that you just won't connect to each other switch places, with the Bottom Player hosting. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here

8.) Cussing, Flaming, Talking Down or Belittling your opponent will not be tolerated for 1 second. Players doing this in game or in the lobby will be disqualified from all BTGN tournaments. If you are faced with an opponent doing the above make sure to hit print screen to catch what they have said in a screenshot for evidence. BTGN is a place for gamers to come and play without having to deal with immature players, if you can't hold your tongue than do us a favor and do not register for our tournaments.

How to Report a Win and Loss

This was touched on a few times earlier, but this explains Reporting in more detail.

To report your win or loss find a BTGN admin in the CnC3 chat Lobby 7 and report your win or loss so an admin can move you forward or out of the tournament. Failure to report your win will equal a disqualification. If you have ANY questions or comments on what you've just read, please post them here.

Good luck to all of you who take part in this! I'll see you online!
