Jenny McCarthy (born November 1, 1972) is an American model, comedian, actress, author and activist. She started her career as a model in October 1993 and later began a career in television and film when selected by MTV to be the host of a new dating show called Singled Out. The show became one of MTV's hottest programs and opened the door for Jenny as an actor, and the star of her own MTV sketch comedy show, The Jenny McCarthy Show. She would later star in such feature films as BASEketball, Scream 3, John Tucker Must Die, and guest star on a number of hit TV shows including Two and a Half Men, Charmed, The Drew Carey Show, and Just Shoot Me! McCarthy is also the best-selling author of such books as LOUDER THAN WORDS and MOTHER WARRIORS: A Nation of Parents Healing Autism Against All Odds.
