A few weeks ago we announced the details and plans for Patch 1.07 and showcased the incoming balance changes and additional 2v2 Team Automatch enhancements. Since then our development team has been hard at work finishing this patch and priming it for release. During this time we encountered an emergency technical situation which prevented all STEAM users of Red Alert 3 from properly loading maps in Worldbuilder. In order to fix this issue properly we need to patch all versions of Red Alert 3, not just STEAM users. Because of the level of severity of this issue with respect to STEAM we’ve had to create an emergency patch. However, this did not significantly halt our current patch production.
Therefore, we are announcing the following with respect to the next patches for Red Alert 3. Please read carefully.
Tomorrow Feb 19th, we will release an emergency 1.07 patch for all Red Alert 3 users that will specifically address the STEAM issue noted above.
Shortly following this release we will deploy Patch 1.08 which will include all of the balance changes, technical fixes, and 2v2 Team Automatch enhancements that the original Patch 1.07 was meant to incorporate. What was originally Patch 1.07 has now become Patch 1.08.
• Patch 1.07 = Emergency hot fix to address STEAM users
• Patch 1.08 = Balance changes, technical fixes, 2v2 Team AutoMatch
We’d like to reiterate that the emergency 1.07 patch is not delaying the big patch you’ve been waiting for with all the great enhancements. Once it is live tomorrow you can rest assured that Patch 1.08 is just around the corner, certainly not this week, but you can well assume a specific update early next week.
Thanks for your understanding,
APOC & CnC Live Team
