Patch 1.2 is live. If you are in the beta, please restart the game to activate our auto-patcher, or simply fire up the beta test and the auto-patcher should alert you to a new patch being available. It's a quick download.
Yesterday we put forth our first patch 1.1 for the Beta Test and unfortunately the chat-bug fix squeeked it's way out when we put the patch live. Given this is a Beta Test, we hope you have some reprieve for us because we have just put live patch 1.2 which is a single- hot-fix patch that addreses the chat bug issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and confusion yesterday, but hey, this being a Beta Test, better to work out the kinks now rather than later, and in quick fashion.
The offical combined change-list for Patch 1.1 and 1.2 is:
· Fixed an error with the online lobby chat window text getting corrupted. (1.2)
· Fixed graphical bug in main menu screen where Status of Liberty was missing and there was a green square at the bottom right of the screen.
· Fixed a bug which allowed hacking the game to allow LAN play.
· Removed "v1. 0" from the main menu screen.
Once we feel patch 1.2 is being downloaded effectively and everything seems to be going smoothly we will start to send out the next wave of 10,000 activations in our Kane's Wrath public queue. If you are within that queue range, you will likely receive your official activation e-mail sometime today and before this weekend. It should be a Red Alert 3 weekend for many of you!
These first two patches are very small hot-fixes. Our next patch is slated to be the motherload with a huge amount of technical fixes and balance changes. This will be a large patch download. We are currently working on this and have not set a timeline for release, but we're hopeful we can push this out to you soon so we can continue collecting constructive feedback to improve the software.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. It's great we can work out our patching system early on in the Beta Test so we can start to do bigger and greater things. It is with a heavy heart and every honest intent to get the Beta Test in the hands of every Kane's Wrath user in our public queue very soon. With these two small patches now out, we are planning to dramatically ramp up the activations. Moving 10,000 more of you in to the Beta Test is the beginning of that ramp up.
